All about the rules of footwear in the add-on The Sims 4 Snowy Plains
In many cultures, like the Japanese culture that was the inspiration for this town Mount Komorebi, it is common to remove your shoes before entering a home. Developers have considered this minor aspect by allowing players to select which shoe-wearing rules they want to set for their own game. There is a Shoe Taming Sign in the Wall Decoration section in the purchase mode.
It can be put anywhere in the vicinity. When the sign is up, the sign will be removed by all characters who have their shoes inside the house. However, you may set another policy of your own:
- Get rid of shoes inside the home – some characters wear barefoot shoes, but you can grab their socks from the mirror or dresser.
- Wear Slippers inside the house The characters in your game will wear the slippers they’ve added to the Snowy Places add-on.
- Keep your shoes on inside the house. Your characters will be walking as usual
It is important to note that the Shoe Taming sign is not the only item that permits you to define the rules for wearing shoes. If you purchase a rack, you can interact with it and set identical rules. If you own more than one item on your property, which sets rules regarding shoes, the rules will be applied to each of them.
If the sim moves into the house, a spinning effect will be visible around his feet. The shoes will be changed by the rules you have chosen. The sim will be able to walk around the house.
The guidelines will apply to all characters. However, children may not always follow the rules. But if parents notice their child wandering around the house in shoes on the floor, they’ll be given an embarrassment-inducing muzzle.
