The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle – EA wants to make the Sims world greener
Maxis has revealed The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle. It is set to release The Sims 4 download launch on June 5th, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the game allows Sims live more sustainably by making use of alternative energy sources as well as making their food and repurposing old materials to make new furniture.
“We’re delighted to give our players the chance to learn about sustainable lifestyles within The Sims and make the changes they’d like to see in their games,” said Producer George Pigula. “By learning and implementing green practices, such as making use of wind turbines or solar panels for electricity generation or creating new furniture using upcycling, gamers can enjoy Destiny and their Sims an entirely different method.”
Publisher description of the game: “The expansion pack introduces the new and unique environment that is Evergreen Harbor, where Sims directly influence the world through every choice they make. Sims are not limited to producing their power and water, but they can also use barter collectors and grow food inside their home with an innovative vertical garden. Sims can also decorate their homes with recycled furniture, wear completely eco-friendly clothing made of recycled materials, or create a living roof to add an accent of colour if you don’t mind the smell of the garbage for items and other ingredients which, with a bit of imagination, can be turned into new pieces for your home.
Simmers go one step further and can create positive changes in their community by using their community’s brand new voting board. Various neighborhood action plans are displayed every week. This includes forcibly installing eco-friendly items, encouraging green initiatives, creating an area for the community where everyone can plant or make things together, and making changes to the community’s exterior. Sims also have new jobs that are open to them.
